Laurie Reisman, MSW, LCSW
Assistant Director
Ordained Minister with a Masters in Social Work. She utilizes Re-evaluation Counseling (RC) and techniques from the Oneness University in India to aid people to be mindful, grow spiritually and connect to their higher self. She is part of the Satvatove Adventures in Conscious Living Community and organizes Wellness Events to introduce community members to Holistic Healing Options.

J. Carlo Diaz, BS, PE
Director of Marketing
A licensed Professional Engineer and a graduate from the University of Florida. Senior Instructor in Internal Energetics and Emotional Intelligence and has also taught at Santa Fe College Community Education. Carlo is also part of our teaching staff and has a very unique and effective way of connecting with students motivating them to attain their maximum potential. He aims to coach students to acquire an alternate perspective through emotional intelligence techniques and Integrative Counseling.

Alexis Jennings-Coulibaly, B.A., MPH.
Dean of Academics
Alexis is a doctoral student in the department of Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University. She received her B.A. in Sociology and her MPH with a concentration in Social & Behavioral Sciences, from the University of Florida. Her research interests surround spirituality and health, health communication and integrative medicine, cancer disparities among minority populations, and meditation induced neuroplasticity. Shakoor currently teaches QiGong, Tai Chi Chuan and meditation at Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine. He also teaches Qi Gong, Tai Chi Chuan, meditation and Hatha Yoga for Santa Fe College (community education) plus Qi Gong, meditation and Hatha Yoga at the Karma Thegsum Choling Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Center, in Gainesville, Florida.

Dr. David Bole, Ph.D., A.P. TaiQi Chuan, Vispasna, Meditation, Mindfulness,

Humanistic Psychology
David N. Bole, Ph.D., A.P., (Lama Losang) is a fully ordained monk in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. He completed a three year retreat under the guidance of the renowned Meditation Master Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. He continued his studies at the College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture in Oxford, England, where he completed two postgraduate degrees. He has studied healing arts, meditation, acupuncture, herbal medicine, and chi gong in the U.S., England, Tibet, China, India, and Japan. He is a licensed acupuncturist and serves as the resident teacher for the Karma Kagyu Tibetan Buddhist Center in Gainesville, Florida. He also teaches at many Buddhist centers around the country.

Dr. Bethany Bechtel, Ph.D., A.P.
Therapeutic Yoga Science
Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine,
licensed Acupuncture Physician, certified by the NCCAOM. Undergraduate degrees in Molecular Biology and French Literature from Bryn Mawr College. Doctoral degree in Biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania and has worked in scientific research at the Wistar Institute at the University of Pennsylvania and in the Chemistry Department at the University of Florida, as well as research collaborations at the McKnight Brain Institute, University of Florida. Recipient of two Fulbright Awards for advanced research at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore, India. She maintains a longstanding research collaboration with the sVYASA Yoga University in Bangalore, India and their network of yoga researchers in India and the United States.
Experienced in yoga therapy and pranic healing. Long standing Tai Chi practitioner.

Dr. Mary Hayes Ph.D., A.P.

Clinic Staff and Faculty at Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine and holds a Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of Georgia, a MS in Physiology from the University of South Georgia, and MED (Education) from the University of Florida.

Michelle Gould B.A., M.F.A.
Grounding the Skies
( Planetary Science)
Michelle Gould is an international speaker and teacher of planetary sciences who enjoys integrating the best of traditional and modern techniques into her counseling practice. She earned her BA and MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Florida and her TACC from Avalon School. She is a founding member of AYA, an instructor and board member at the Avalon School, and a contributor to Moxy Women magazine and AstroDatabank. Active in the community, she chairs the Ethics Committee for ISAR, acts as an advisor for AFAN, and served as Treasurer of ISAR and an organizer of the UAC conference.

Gilda Griffin, M.S. Ed
Aromatherapy
Gilda holds a BS in Sociology with a minor in Anthropology from Fordham University, an MS in Education from Brooklyn College, and an Advanced Certificate in Educational Administration and Supervision from Hunter College. She is also a Reiki Master.
Gilda studied aromatherapy at Essential Education International and started a company known as MSB Aromatherapy, LLC, with emphasis on how essential oils can be used to enhance the mind, body, and spirit connection.

Kashmira Patel, B.A.
Sound Healing Science
UF BA in Sociology, Minor in Anthropology, Sophia School of Living Arts: Certified EFT (Emotional Technique Freedom) Practitioner, Reiki Master, Satvatove Institute Empathic Communication & Life Coach. Co-host of the Muzik & Medicine: Live and Direct, WMBT 90.1 FM Show. Music and sound for the soul. Kashmira inspires people to dance, move, heal, and experience the power of high sound vibrations. Her intention is to uplift, inspire, and spark people up… and to have fun of course. Her musical creations are not just something you hear… they are something you FEEL.

Rev. Sune O'Brien
Reiki Sciences
Tera Mai Reiki, Karuna Reiki, and Usui Reiki Master Teacher with a professional practice as a healer, teacher and shamanic work. She has developed a Reiki training program called Reiki for a New World and an orientation to Shamanic practice called Earth Spirit Healing. Rev. Sune co-founded and is ordained in the Sacred Earth Ministry, a ministry which honors all paths to love, unity and peace.

Alexis Jennings-Coulibaly, B.A., MPH.
Dean of Academics
Alexis is a doctoral student in the department of Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University. She received her B.A. in Sociology and her MPH with a concentration in Social & Behavioral Sciences, from the University of Florida. She teaches Evidence Based Integrative Wellness Coaching. Her course provides a solid foundation of the mastery of consulting and coaching techniques used in Integrative Wellness and various fields.

Lisa McNett
Ayurvedic Medicine & Sciences
Lisa is a board certified Holistic Health Practitioner. She obtained her certification as an Ayurvedic Therapist from the Ayurveda Retreat Hospital in Coonoor, India, where she also earned her first yoga certification. After returning from India she continued her education through American Institute of Vedic studies. She has been teaching workshops and courses on Ayurveda, Yoga, Gross and Subtle Anatomy. She is also a student mentor with Alchemy of Breath, training future breathwork facilitators. Lisa is passionate about empowering others to better understand our connection to the natural world and how to live more holistically.

Jason Dodd, 5th Dan
Psychology of Energetic Defense
Professor and Renshi Shihan
Jason is a multidisciplinary advanced black belt in combative martial arts and holds such ranking in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Japanese Ju Jutsu, Muay Thai, and Full-Contact Japanese Karate. He has competed and instructed around the world, and is the head coach at Global Mixed Martial Arts Academy, part of Mat Life Training Center in Gainesville.

Carly Barnes Dodd, M.S.
Native American Medicine
Founder of Mat Life Training Center and Warrior Wellness Collective in Gainesville, Carly combines her background in food and health science with pragmatic wellness to serve her community. Prior to launching Mat Life, she was the administrative director for the University of Florida Diabetes Institute and a lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication. She holds a master's degree from the University of Florida in agricultural education and communication.
